I think I'll PM the seller, warning him that revealing the wrong info in public could damage the value of his car, as well as others.
That seems wise and helpful. ^^
The minute I saw his low price, my mind immediately went into selfish mode and thought, "That would be a steal for $52k!" He's got $10k of carbon fiber on the thing alone, plus individual seats and such. Of course, I don't need it, but it's funny how the mind works. ebeck, on the other hand, immediately pointed out to the seller that he has the car priced significantly under market. This is quite kind of him, for sure, and may help to keep Atom resale values up. But at the same time, for someone else who is in the market and wanting to jump on this deal, it would be a real kick in the pants if the price suddenly jumped way up. The guy obviously isn't hurting for money if his Atom has been sitting idle for two and a half years, and now he needs to sell it simply to create space for something new.
If only I had the scratch at the moment, it would make a great "guest" Atom! My trailer has a car lift installed, so I could put it right under my other Atom. They would look so nice together! My friends could have fun driving it for a couple of years, and then I could sell it and incur no loss. Or I could bring it to Cayman. If only I had the scratch!
This would make the perfect Atom for Driver, as well...
