Which tires are you referring to?
All tires will get "harder" as they cycle. If you have a set of dedicated track tires and plan to use them only once a month or so, the best thing to do is take them off of the car and store them in plastic garbage sack in a cool temperature away from direct sunlight.
This will keep them in good shape.
Also, it is best to put one heat cycle into the tires and then let them "rest" for 24 hours before flogging them. The tires will not perform better, they will perform longer.
