TMI AutoTech to bring highly experienced 'wrench' to AtomFest

by 1965Cobra427 » Fri Aug 07, 2009 3:22 pm

TMI AutoTech will bring highly experienced 'wrench' to AtomFest

One member of the TMI Autotech team which will be attending AtomFest is a fellow who is described by Dave Goadby as "... a real hands-on guy, good mechanic and ... very familiar with everyday servicing & maintenance of Atom 2s."  He was with the company for three years including two years of AAE and will be available 15th-17th to consult and assist Atom 2 owners with any maintenance issues.

Thanks again to TMI for their multi-faceted support of AtomFest and the community of Atom owners.

it is a very good strategy to get rid of tailgaiters because it is so loud it hurts and you have to back off a little.

You need some atomfest brand ear plugs

I wouldn't mind an exhaust bypass pipe... do they have DB restrictions there?
I don't think so. Randy ran a straight pipe (well, actually 90 degrees) at the track. And some owners (who shall remain namless ;D) drove into Tulsa for the Sonic Cruise that way.
No noise restriction-  you might wish they had one when you hear Eddie's new pipe!  :D Of course he'll go by you so quickly it will only hurt for a moment!

Well I'm glad that confusion has been cleared up.

I'm not generally precision-anal, and as I said, I don't think it's a big deal in casual discussion, but I thought that this thread should show the respect of using the proper name.

I usually use the phrase 'TMI AutoTech'.  TMI-A seems reasonable.  The 'Inc' seems like overkill to me.  We don't generally refer to IBM, Inc.  or  Honda, Ltd.

So, extra cars. That sounds good. More chances of a ride for those that won't have their own.

Awesome...wouldn't be the same without them  :tu: :tu:

But they know they are dealing automotive crack so it makes sense to let some potential customers get addicted to the Atom 3  ;)

With respect to this thread, all uses of "TMI" that I have made are in reference to TMI AutoTech, Inc., the North American manufacturer of the Ariel Atom.

Yes, it is my understanding that TMI AutoTech, Inc. will bring several Atoms including both Atom 2 and Atom 3 variants. In additiona they plan to bring spare parts. At a minimum I expect these will include typical track wear and tear parts like A-arms, uprights, pushrods, etc and likely some exhaust system parts. They are open to bringing other parts as well and are receptive to your suggestions. Please list them here or contact Mark Swain with your requests. I'm sure he will be as accomodating as possible, but of course may not have everything you would like to see. If you place an order for 'AtomFest delivery' I'm sure that would go a long way towards making it a sure thing.

We are so pleased to have TMI AutoTech, Inc. as a major sponsor. They are committed to the Atom and the owner community ... and willing to 'put their money where their mouth is'... - yippppeeeee!

Not to be a noodge, but I will remind everyone that the difference between 'TMI' and 'TMI AutoTech' was important enough to them to post on it.

In casual discussions it may not be a big deal, but I would suggest that posts in this thread should respect the distinction.

Re this thread and some other prior related threads, we'd just like to correct the possible impression by some that "Trak Motorsports" may be the North American licensee for the Ariel Atom.  Trak Motorsports Inc. is a separate, privately held Canadian registered corporation with it's office & shop facilities located in Canada only.  "Trak" is the current sole owner & operator of the Ariel Atom Experience business and it was previously designated by Brammo as the exclusive Canadian distributor for Ariel Atoms.  However it's "TMI AutoTech, Inc." (Virginia corporation) that solely owns the North American license rights for the Ariel Atom, and it's TMI AutoTech, Inc. that's located at VIR.

The Company plans to bring their fifty-three foot transporter to serve as 'AtomFest Central' and will bring additional rolling stock as well.

Does this mean cars or just parts?
