forcesevens, they're the ones we all used at AtomFest- but they're like new. Neat instrument!

They seem to do fine under a fiberglass bonnet. They have trouble with C/F bonnets though and should not be mounted under them.

BTW, we are down to only 1 Traqmate left in stock.
Do you still have one left?  If so, is it new or has it been used?
thanks :p

Fibreglass is RF transparent so will work perfectly well.
Carbon fibre looks like a blocking screen (carbin conducts after all) and you'll get no signal through CF.

All basic electronics really...

AtomFest calendars and Photo DVD's are now being sent out to those who ordered in advance. The Photo DVD contains over 1,600 of the 4,500 photos submitted and the calendar includes about 125 of the best. Over the next couple of months I will be compiling a video DVD for release in the Spring.

AtomFest Traqmate data is available for download at www.AtomFest.net http://www.atomfest.org/downloads/downloads.asp

All Traqmate files are stored in a zip file which has them arranged in subfolders for each car owner. The date and time shown for the files in Explorer is incorrect, but after opening each file, the true date and time will be displayed in the Traqview software.

A link is provided to download the free Traqview software from Track Systems, featured sponsor of AtomFest.

The antenna has to be visible but you can say it is for your GPS.  other than that you can keep the whole thing in the boot
Mine is stuck to the brace under the bonnet. So it'll see through fiberglass, red anyway..
Can confirm that GPS should see through fibreglass

Ben

For those of you on the fence about getting a Traqmate, they're DEFINITELY worth it.  Awesome tool!
We're not supposed to time yourself at trackdays over here so can they be concealed on the Atom well out of sight and detection so that the readouts can be analysed when you return home?

If so, how much are they and how much would it be to ship one over here to the UK?
Yes, they will operate in collection mode without the display attached. It might take a bit of trial and error to set up the coordinates of the start/finish line, but after that, you're good to go. We uaually place them under the bonnet with a GPS antenna on the cowl. My antenna is under the rear of the bonnet so everything is concealed. If anybody asks, just have a GPS handy to explain the antenna.

Pricing is $849 USD for AAOC members. I don't really have a feel for the cost to ship.

Purchased the following:

Pitcrew shirt (XL), yellow--I think I got the last one
Anorak (XL), yellow
Reserved, numbered coin (should be numbered #002)--Already talked to Randy about this, and it should be ready to go.

Thanks for keeping the merchandise available, Randy!  I wasn't able to afford it on Atomfest weekend, but now I can.  :)
