That segment of the movie (along with "Hello computer...") was filmed in a plastics fabrication shop in Santa Ana, CA. I used to work there. Sulu landed a helicopter in the field next door which was the test site for Cox Hobbies, the model airplane company. Always seems a little surreal when I see the movie ...

For those who like noise, how about removing the cat & muffler, and replacing it with a "stinger" exhaust (straight tip that just angles straight back)?

  Yeah, you got me on that one.

How about a see-through muffler? Made of plexiglass or something that won't melt...

Transparent aluminum anyone?

Guess you could always replace the muffler and cat with a straight pipe. That would clean it up a little. ;D
