Yep. Have run my Dymags with 96Nm for a couple of years with no problem

I think there's reference on this thread to both 120n.m and 96n.m for these - pretty sure I use the 120n.m for my atom 3 Could do with a correction/clarification if some-one has the technical (and IT) knowledge.

1/2" hex bolts I suspect but I've never measured them

Not quite. The rod ends are Aurora AM10T with 5/8 -18 UNF thread and 0.625 inch bore

I must have had too many mince pies.....

Not sure where I'm getting the 1/2 inch bit from then, but it would seem I've imagined/made it up  ;D

They're 5/8" not 1/2" and third on the general list  ;)

Ah ha! That explains it then ;)

The rod ends are 1/2 inch but the retaining hex nuts are 5/8 inch!

I was blindly fixated on the 1/2 inch bit :embarassed:

Seasons greetings all!

I'm probably being thick/blind, but I've read through this a number of times and can't see the torque setting for the big 1/2 inch hex bolts on the big rod ends that mount the wishbones onto the uprights. Could someone please let me know what they should be tightened to and if its in ft/lbs or Nm?

Cheers :)

Sutol - exhaust manifold retaining bolts (bolts to head) tighten in a criss cross pattern to 44nm (info from MaRis - Honda.com)

Simples  :tu: - anything else you need to know just holler.
I also have a full uptodate Autodata at my disposal. But I like to use the manufacturers guidelines.

Up from 96 to 120Nm! That's a bit different. Don't fancy doing all that lock wiring again so I think I'll leave them at 96 for now. Seem to have been ok for last few months

Can someone make this thread a 'sticky' please so it's easier to find? Doesn't show up well in searches as it's not been posted to for so long!

Also, could somebody correct the initial post - 5/8" rod end torque should be 120nm - confirmed by factory today  :tu:

Thanks,

Bod

Thanks for those,
can't seem to get the manifold ones though, even the blokes at the Honda dealership wouldn't tell me, they were very cagey and either couldn't or wouln't tell me.
What is the big secret with these engines ?
I should have said it was a Honda type 'R' that I was fixing ;)
