Sorry Simon, just saw this. Have you been to Snetterton yet!?
I run 12F, 14R in dry - never take her beyond 80% first lap, 90% second lap - then go for it!
If it’s damp/cold - add 1 psi
If it’s wet - add 2 psi and bias brakes to mid position.
Never driven a 4 though, so let me know how your experiments go! 👍🏼

Any tips for the 4 - folks that have run on track with the ZZR? I'm at Snetterton in 2 weeks so will experiment then. I think 16 front cold is too high for this tyre on the 4 - at least for my car. So I will have a go at reducing it, but interested in others feedback.

I guess I was amongst the first to swap to them, their advice to me consisted of ‘well we’ve only set them up on the 4’ :)

12/14 or 13/16 for me now.

This is what the factory told me:
The ZZR on a 3/3.5 with the 16” rear and 15” front should be set at the following.
Track cold front 12 psi and rear 14 psi, this was what we ran the Yokohama A048s at.
You may need to experiment with adding a couple of extra psi. but 12 and 14 is a good base to start with.

Yeah, but, you’re a stone cold killer 8)

Might try that tomorrow. I’ll shout ‘watch this’ as I set off :P

You at Weybridge this weekend??

ZZR pressures on 3.5

After having V70’s, then swapping just the rears to ZZR (nobody died) the time came to swap the fronts.

There wasn’t much in the way of info about pressures so started with 16 (cold) front, 19 (cold) rear. After 15 miles the front end felt a bit harsh. Dropped them to 16 (hot), which worked out at 14-15 (cold).

That worked well. Good stability and grip braking from high speed and seem to turn well. Still prefer the V70, but can’t be bothered with their unique business model!

Rears are likely too hard as well. But it’s a starting point if anyone wants one.
