I got EXACTLY the same deal as hydeski....apparently that is Reis's lowest deal!

Renewal quote from Adrian Flux:
£338.  Bath area, no accidents, few years Atom specific no claims, donkeys years actual no claims, 52 y.o., garaged. 4000 miles limit, Europe cover, no track day cover.
Not as good as hydeski a few posts ago so may ring around.

Hope this is the right place to be asking this question, only has anyone tried to insure a Nomad yet and if so with who?
Here's hoping mine will be available within the the next two weeks (trying to be positive) and not even started looking for insurance. Any experiences would be very welcome, please
I asked about cover for the Atom Club 10 trackday and they said if Castle Coombe marshals are present then they will cover it as usual, I assume we are not mucking in with duties?
Erm, meaning?

Cheers,

Just renewed mine with Reis, 45yrs old, 5 years ownership, no claims, 3000m, 4 trackdays inc, £278  ;D

Pretty damn good I thought.

I asked about cover for the Atom Club 10 trackday and they said if Castle Coombe marshals are present then they will cover it as usual, I assume we are not mucking in with duties?

Had no luck looking for an insurance cover as i am not a UK resident

Not surprised at that to be honest. UK insurers have become a very cynical bunch when it comes to risk even for people with driving history and permanent address and born and lived here from birth....

Can you not get  cover from your country and then apply for the temporary Q plate as John suggests ?

Hello mate

I can't get cover as the car is not register here. I was wondering if its possible to get cover for a 20 years students. The reason behind is that I might ship the car over under my friends name (a student in the uk) under temporary import. (SO I DONT NEED TO PAY VAT, actually I will still need to pay but I could claim it back when i export the car) d

also does anyone know if i could do the same through a noraml  procedure? :faint: :faint: :faint:

If it's not registered in your home country, on importing the car into the UK (you must be a visitor and staying for a max of 6 months), you can get a temporary 'Q' plate registration.

You'd need to contact the various Atom insurers to see if they'd be willing to cover you on a limited time/mileage basis ..

Thanks John for the info. Does anyone know where I should go and ask?

I would love to drive the car in the UK in the summer

Regards
Kelvin
