25th Anniversary Celebrations

It’s been 25 years since production of the Ariel Atom began, and the 10 years for the Nomad and Ace. To mark the occasion Ariel Motor Company have decided to host a three day long celebration, and you are invited!

Centered around the Ariel HQ in sunny Somerset, the 3 days include events for Aces, Nomads and Atoms, plus plenty of social activities.

Highlights included:

Wednesday 11th June – Thruxton Track Day for Nomads and Atoms.

One of the fastest circuits in the UK, Thruxton is normally a taboo’d place for Atom and Nomad owners unless they have invested in extra exhaust baffles. But thanks to the sway of the Ariel brand, Nomads and Atoms running standard exhausts will be allowed to play. Modified cars will need to be checked out on an ad hoc basis.

Tuition is available and there’s even an AutoTest style event that will run in the paddock for those wishing t go against the clock will demonstrating their precision car control skills (or hatred of traffic cones).

For Nomads only, there will be a 160 mile mixed surface escapade, starting at Thruxton and then heading off to scare some squaddies on Salisbury Plain before heading back to finish at the Ariel Factory.

And Ace riders have a cafe racer style ride out around some lovely roads that lead to some even lovelier fish and chips at West Bay.

In the evening there’s a hog roast and bbq at Haselbury Mill, just next door to the Ariel factory. The factory will be open till 9pm if you fancy some fettling.

Thursday 12th June

A drive.ride to the coast for a spot of lunch before heading back to the factory for a mooch around. In the evening its time for a formal dinner at the Tithe Barn where there’ll be some prize giving and banter before music and merriment.

Friday 13th June

Its Factory tour time! How many Ariels can we fit into the HQ? Today is the day to find out, with street food catering on hand and the marque museum open, we’ll end the event on a memory making high note.

To book your place use this booking form . If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Ben or Henry at the factory in the UK.

It would be fantastic to see some overseas members at the events – if you are thinking of coming over and need any support please just shout here.

Steve has ruined many cars over the years, modding them trying to get them to go around circuits quicker. Luckily Ariel did a pretty good job with the Atom, so now he mostly makes excuses about why he is not faster. He's a tech marketing bod so he loves a good game of buzzword bingo.
